Cycling can be a sport as well as an exercise for healthy living. Cycling brings in many benefits, some that we notice and some that we overlook. Some of the key benefits of cycling are: it is a very good mode of transportation and is one of the few that produces no pollution, something that we desperately require with growing concerns of global warming and for this energy saving activity Enigin would definitely be proud of you. Cycling can also be used as an exercise as it gives your body the adequate chance of activity required to stay fit. Finally cycling is a sport where many bikers race to show the supremacy in speed with cycle and in another form cycling is also used to show various stunts. One of the key elements of cycling regularly is the motivation level. It is possible for us to become de-motivated of cycling so it is important to detect the signs of de-motivation. The cause of this could be some developing injury, which could be internal or external. It could also be due to the fact that you are just not able to enjoy cycling.

When cycling, it is also important to give a slight attention to our diet. Remember that even though cycling could be used as a mode of relaxation and fun, it is still a physical exercise and involves a regular physical effort. Therefore it is important to make sure that your body is aptly provided for its needs, and this will help you enjoy your cycling. One of the key for this is to eat before you are hungry, drink before you are thirsty. Carrying some fluids along with you always helps, since being thirsty can easily steal the joy of cycling. Similarly in case of food, you can try having food that would slowly release sugar in your body than some instant energy bars. Reasons being the energy bars are good for short rides but if you are planning for a long one then soon enough you will be left hungry.
