There is however an alternative to this form of exercising and that exercise could be taken up as part of daily life and work. No one can run to the office and back every day, but one could sure do so by pedaling a cycle. One would look very weird jogging to the market and back with a hand bag empty and then full of grocery or whatever you have. The same person would be categorized as suave and intelligent if he or she did so upon a bicycle.

Cycling is said not to be burning that much of calories as running or jogging would. However, cycling can be done for more parts of a person’s life than jogging can be. In an overall sense cycling therefore can help burn more calories as well as being of utility value for it helps conducting some work of the daily life of the person.

People find the idea of running or jogging a daunting one. Cycling on the other hand appears to be a very enjoyable activity. More people tend to cycle rather than jogging or running. It looks stylish and there are ample designs of cycle, each appealing to a different set of consumer taste.

There is a wrong idea that cycling in its posture would cause back problem with time. On the contrary this posture due to the angle of the seat and the handle gives a stronger back bone and muscle toning exercise. The seat and handle bars have been so designed.

In fact, you can also cycle when out on a holiday. It would nicely combine sightseeing with exercising. For example, if you are in Spain you could cycle from your ostelli Barcellona to Sagrada Familia.
